Panel Discussion: Reactor Vendors
Selecting a graphite for near-term commercial nuclear application is driven by consideration beyond understanding the material performance under irradiation. Practical consideration faced by reactor vendors include a vendors ability to produce an adequate volume materials in a timely manner, ability to produce and machine billets of relevant size, in some cases export-control restrictions, and ultimately economics. Within this panel the practical issues of working with nuclear graphite will be discussed through a series of stimulated questions.
